Privacy

Your photo
Reading, face detection, background removal, cropping and saving all happen in your browser. Our server has no way to receive photos, so we never receive, store or see yours. The site’s security policy stops the page from sending data anywhere except this website.
Downloaded files are rebuilt from pixels, so location data, camera details and other metadata from the original are not included. Closing or reloading the page clears the photo from memory.
When you choose to pay, the page is about to leave for Stripe, so it keeps your photo in your browser’s own storage on this device for the few minutes the payment takes. It is deleted as soon as you return, or after two hours if you never come back. It is never sent to us or to Stripe.
The example gallery loads images from Unsplash. This provider can receive browser connection data. User photo files are not shared with Unsplash.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe. You enter your payment details and email on Stripe’s page; we never see your card number. See stripe.com/privacy for how Stripe handles data.
What we store
For each order we store only the Stripe order number, an irreversible SHA-256 fingerprint of the original photo file, when the order was created, whether it is paid, and the payment reference (needed for refunds). Paid purchase records and SHA-256 photo fingerprints are retained to verify perpetual entitlements and refunds; abandoned checkout records are automatically deleted. We do not store photo files. We do not store names, email addresses or IP addresses, and we use no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
After payment, your unlock is kept in your browser’s local storage. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see or delete the record of your order. Email support@example.com with the order details from your Stripe receipt.
